PRESENTATION

Since its foundation, Kuraia has been firmly committed to supporting emerging composers by offering them the opportunity to rehearse, premiere and promote their works in a professional setting.

Ensemble Kuraia regularly collaborates with leading institutions to support emerging composers. These include: the Universität der Künste and the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin; the ‘A. Boito’ Conservatoire in Parma and the ‘G. Verdi’ Conservatoire in Milan (Italy); Musikene – the Higher Centre for Music of the Basque Country; the Higher Conservatoire of Music of Navarre; and the SGAE Euskadi Foundation.

The repertoire is renewed each year and offers a broad overview of the diverse trends found in young avant-garde composition.
