Chillida, the sea and the music
PRESENTATION
An interdisciplinary concert based on a selection of original texts by Eduardo Chillida,
with music by the Kuraia Ensemble and digital visual creations by ElektrART.
The musical repertoire features works by contemporary Basque composers (Luis De
Pablo and María Eugenia Luc), traditional Basque music (Boga! Boga!) and original
transcriptions by the Kuraia Ensemble.
The texts, emotionally supported by music and digital art, guide the audience towards a
rediscovery of Chillida’s artistic universe, focusing on two powerful visual and auditory
presences in many of his works: the sea and music.
These two elements and their similarities generated in Chillida a series of reflections
and discoveries about form, rhythm, time and space, which the artist tirelessly
experimented with in his works.
The show’s formidable audiovisual and musical interventions, in a simple and natural
way, ignite the spark of emotion and reflection that allows the audience to gain a
deeper insight into art.
The show can be performed in Spanish, Basque, Basque and Spanish, or English.
Grabación del estreno (en euskera y castellano) realizado en Chillida Leku el 6 de septiembre de 2025 a las 20,30 horas.
